Mission Statment

To serve our customers with integrity and provide quality homes that display excellence in craftsmanship and design. Our goal is to be recognized as the builder "who cares" and "exhibits attention to detail" in Northern Michigan.

Our philosophy at Wanigan Corporation is to make the building process a pleasant experience. It is important to build trust and a relationship with our customers.  We provide assistance in guiding the customer through the design and selection process.  We take pride in offering homes that fit the budget needs of our customers and that proceed to completion in a timely manner.  We are committed to using well established sub-contractors and suppliers and the highest quality products.

Gordon Converse and his wife, Joan, founded the company in January of 1957 with Gordon's brother, Denny.  Gordon is retired now but not quite willing to give up the excitement of the building business.  He still checks in daily to see what is happening in the building business.  

Connie and Jeff Nault bought the company in 2006.  Connie is the daughter of Gordon and Joan Converse, the founders of Wanigan Corporation.  Having grown up around the building business, she has come to love the diverse and challenging aspects of it.  Connie is the president and General Manager and Jeff, after retiring from a career as a field mechanic, joined her in the business in 2021.  Jeff now works out in the field. 

Connie and Jeff are committed to continuing the "building excellence" that Wanigan Corporation is known for.  They are proud of the many years of building homes and memories with their customers.

When they are not in the office you will find Connie and Jeff and their family enjoying time on their boat or taking advantage of the great outdoors.

Wanigan Corporation is proud of the longevity and loyalty that staff members have exhibited over the years. Many of our staff have been with us for a number of years and have made Wanigan their life's career.
