We are continually monitoring the cost of materials here at Wanigan Corporation and continue to be amazed at the increase across the board in building products! Since January 1, 2005 we have recieved increases on residential roofing, siding and window products from all our suppliers. Oil and asphalt products continue to rise, natural gas is at an all time high and is an integral factor in the production of PVC resin, which is the main component in vinyl siding. The hurricanes in Florida and the high demand for building products in China have left a shortage of supplies everywhere. And finally, there has been a huge change in federal trucking regulations which has created a truck availability shortage. These all combined with the increase in fuel oil for transportation have driven prices up.
It is our goal at Wanigan Corporation to produce accurate and detailed estimates and we will continue to monitor and provide our customers with the latest prices when bidding. As always, we aim to provide the highest quality homes with the most pleasant building practices we can achieve.
